Things to do in Teynampet

Teynampet is the stretch of Anna Salai between the Anna Flyover and Nandanam, and it holds one of Chennai's workhorse auditoria. Kamarajar Arangam, close to AG-DMS metro station, takes film-music nights, Tamil stand-up tours, award functions and the Chennaiyil Thiruvaiyaru music festival each December. Hyatt Regency Chennai and other hotels on this part of Anna Salai host conferences, wedding shows and New Year parties. Office towers, hospitals and the DMS campus fill the rest. Two Blue Line stations, AG-DMS and Teynampet, sit directly on the main road, which makes this one of the easiest event areas in the city to reach without a car.
