Things to do in OMR (IT Corridor)

Old Mahabalipuram Road, officially Rajiv Gandhi Salai, is Chennai's IT corridor, running south from Tidel Park in Taramani through Perungudi, Thoraipakkam, Sholinganallur, Navalur and Siruseri. Its events follow the people who work there: tech meetups and hackathons in office parks, stand-up and live music in bars and lounges, weekend flea markets in apartment complexes, and family events at Marina Mall in Egattur. Wonderla Chennai, which opened on 2 December 2025 with 43 rides near Thiruporur at the far southern end, is the newest large amusement park in the region. The MRTS reaches Taramani and Perungudi; further south, the Phase 2 metro lines are still being built.
