Things to do in R.A. Puram & MRC Nagar

Raja Annamalaipuram and MRC Nagar occupy the north bank of the Adyar estuary, between Mylapore and the sea. The Leela Palace on Adyar Seaface looks out over the estuary and the sea, and its ballrooms and lawns host conferences, wedding exhibitions, festive brunches and New Year's Eve galas. School auditoria and halls around MRC Nagar and Greenways Road, including those on the Chettinad Vidyashram campus, are hired for dance arangetrams, inter-school festivals, music programmes and corporate events. In recent years Chennai Sangamam has listed Raja Annamalaipuram among its Pongal venues. Greenways Road and Mandaveli stations on the MRTS line are the nearest rail stops.
