Things to do in Kotturpuram
Nothing is listed for in kotturpuram yet โ new events are added every morning, so check back soon.
Kotturpuram, on the south bank of the Adyar river, is Chennai's science-and-reading quarter. The Anna Centenary Library, opened in September 2010, spreads over nine floors with a 15,000 sq ft children's section, a 1,280-seat auditorium and a terrace amphitheatre, and hosts book launches, author talks, film screenings and children's programmes. A kilometre away on Gandhi Mandapam Road, the Periyar Science and Technology Centre houses the B. M. Birla Planetarium, inaugurated in 1988, with sky shows in English and Tamil and eight science galleries. Both are reliable rainy-day outings for families. Kotturpuram MRTS station serves the library; the planetarium is roughly midway between Kotturpuram and Kasturba Nagar stations.
