About Wonderla Chennai
Wonderla Chennai is the newest large amusement park in the region and the fifth park of the Wonderla chain, after Kochi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar. It opened on 2 December 2025, inaugurated by Chief Minister M. K. Stalin, on a site of about 55 acres near Thiruporur at the southern end of Old Mahabalipuram Road. The Hindu reported that it opened with 43 rides, a mix of high-thrill roller coasters, family and children's rides and water attractions. Tickets are sold by date, with different prices for weekdays, weekends and peak days and add-on fast-track passes; check the park's website for current rates and height limits. Because it is far from the city, most visitors make a full day of it and arrive at opening time.
