About VR Chennai
VR Chennai is a mall and mixed-use complex on Jawaharlal Nehru Road in Anna Nagar West, developed by Virtuous Retail and opened on 18 June 2018. It has about a million square feet of retail in a built-up area of 1.84 million sq ft over six floors, arranged around open courtyards rather than a single enclosed box. A ten-screen PVR multiplex opened here in October 2018. The complex includes the Madras House dining courtyard, an open-air amphitheatre, an events space The Hive, a 50,000 sq ft co-working space, and a boutique hotel. Its public spaces host a Sunday farmers' market, weekend live music, pop-up bazaars of homegrown brands, children's workshops and festival programmes for Pongal, Deepavali and Christmas.
