About Narada Gana Sabha
Narada Gana Sabha is one of Chennai's leading sabhas and the second pole of the TTK Road concert corridor, a little over a kilometre south of the Music Academy. The organisation was founded in Mylapore on 9 February 1958, bought its land on TTK Road in 1972 and opened its own auditorium there in February 1988. The complex has a large main hall and, on the first floor at the rear, a mini hall of about 150 seats that was renovated in 2019 and is used for chamber concerts and lecture-demonstrations. The sabha runs music, dance and drama programmes through the year, a veena festival and a full schedule during the December season, and Tamil theatre groups stage plays here most weekends.
