About Chennai Trade Centre
Chennai Trade Centre at Nandambakkam is the city's main exhibition and convention complex. Commissioned in January 2001, with a convention centre added in November 2004, it is a joint venture in which the India Trade Promotion Organisation holds 51 per cent and the Tamil Nadu government's industrial development arm the rest. The complex now lists ten air-conditioned, pillarless exhibition halls: the older Halls 1A, 1B, 2, 3A and 3B and the newer Halls 4 to 8. It also has two 1,000-seat convention halls, a newer 4,000-seat convention hall and three 350-seat conference halls. The India International Leather Fair is a fixture, alongside property, automobile, education, food and jewellery shows. Chennai Comic Con has been held here since its first edition in February 2024.
